Vanity Riots Ambulance

2014, Female-fronted Australian outfit Vanity Riots follow up with 'Ambulance', another extended player that houses five tracks that "fuse the best of arena rock with the rawness of metal" - basically, the band have taken hook-smeared pop rock and added a modern metal twist. The former works, the latter throws some confusion into the mix. Vanity Riots, musically bouncing, vocally impressive, could fine-tune this sound of theirs, make a real fist of it, basically by keeping things a little simpler and focussing on their obvious strengths. Ones to watch develop, for certain.
