When the gothic rock quartet Unto Others released their first album "Mana? on their own in 2019 - at that time still under the name Idle Hands - the work was immediately chosen by metal.de as the second best album of the year. Now the band from Portland, Oregon has signed with Roadrunner Records and immediately sends the new album "Strength" into the race.
"Mana" raked in "Best of 2019" accolades from Metal Hammer, Decibel Magazine, Invisible Oranges, Treble, Stereogum as well as Heavy Consequence, among others, who noted, "Franco [Gabriel Franco, vocalist] sounds more like Robert Smith than Bruce Dickinson, though both The Cure and Iron Maiden come through in his band's sound."
Unto Others toured North America with "Mana" alongside King Diamond and Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, playing to sold-out crowds from coast to coast; in 2020, they returned with the surprise release "Don't Waste Your Time II."
