2012, Imagine the power of a pack of wildcats joining forces with a herd of thundering buffalo, and it will give you an idea of what this Pat Travers-/Carmine Appice-collaboration sounds like! Pat Travers, who released several successful heavy blues guitar albums under his own name in the 1970s/80s, joins up with Vanilla Fudge-drummer Carmine Appice and flamboyant session bassist TM Stevens to play a blistering set recorded live at the House Of Blues. The playing is electrifyingly raw and the sound is consistently fresh, with big beats and muscular guitar punctuated by scorching solos. These musicians give it their all, and are obviously enjoying themselves on stage - their sonic chemistry is undeniable!
