Unlike the previous two albums, which were a bit harder, THORNBRIDGE strikes more melancholic tones on their 3rd studio album "Daydream Illusion", which is also reflected in the vocals, which are less aggressive and cleaner.
Particular attention was paid to catchy melodies and lyrics, and for the first time a ballad made it onto the album.
The concept album tells the story of a boy who does everything he can to save his own dream world and the creatures within it from the destruction inflicted on him in the real world by questionable and inhumane treatment methods and operations in a mental institution during the early Victorian period.
