When gripping songs at the interface between hard rock and melodic metal merge with first-class craftsmanship and a wealth of experience of all involved, the result can only be exceptionally good. THE UNITY are such a case, where all musical parameters point to an excellent formation with a promising future. Because THE UNITY is the new group of the two Gamma Ray members Michael Ehré (drums) and Henjo Richter (guitar). Richter has been one of Hamburg's power metallers for 20 years. Before joining Gamma Ray in 2012, Ehré's vita included such prominent names as Firewind, Uli Jon Roth and Unisonic, to name but a few. THE UNITY have been working under high pressure for almost one and a half years on their first album, in spring 2017 it will be released via Steamhammer/SPV. You don't have to be a prophet to predict a bright future for this band. The two instrumentalists and composers Richter and Ehré have gathered around them outstanding colleagues with whom they not only share their artistic vision, but have also to some extent already performed together on stage in other constellations: the exceptional Italian singer Gianba Manenti, guitarist Stef E, bassist Jogi Sweers and keyboarder Sascha Onnen have been known to many fans since Ehré's band Love.Might.Kill, which has released two albums and played shows in half of Europe. You can already hear: Real experts have been at work here, and the excitement about the band's first release is correspondingly great. Because the name is program THE UNITY will definitely unite fans of Hardrock and Melodic Metal behind them.
