For the first time on CD, remastered from the original mastertapes and enriched with bonus tracks: The Residents present their earliest known bands, "The W***** B*** Album" and "B.S.". "The W***** B*** Album" is the legendary first album. It was recorded in 1970 and 1971 as an application and ticket to show business. The Residents sent it to Warner Bros Records in spring 1971 - as usual as tape at that time - but they didn't like it and sent it back to the then still nameless band at their address in San Mateo - and stated "The Residents" as the addressee... The band thought it was cool and called themselves that from then on. "B.S." was recorded in 1971, and again The Residents sent the tape to Warner Bros Records as a possible contract because one of their idols, Captain Beefheart, was signed there. Warner Bros, however, again could not do anything with this milestone of resident mythology. The tape disappeared for almost 50 years in the resident archives. As bonus tracks The Residents added from their archives "Boarding House Show" and "Philips's Wedding Concentrate" (both created 1971) and "Chris' Party" (1972) - the only known live shows of the band before 1976. All tracks were remastered from the original tapes. Great booklet with rare or unknown photo material.
