2010, This particular subgenre of punk rock is derived solely from the sound of The Misfits, so most bands have that Misfits sound to some degree. Most horrorpunk bands do try to put their own personal stamp on what they do however. While not terribly original in sound, the best thing a band like this can do is at least have good, catchy, hard hitting songs. Germany's The Other accomplishes this in spades. Taking The Misfits' face paint up a notch, The Other transform their appearance into full blown horror creatures.
