2013, The Gathering: a bright, unwavering star in the musical firmament for nearly a quarter century. From the very first record in 1992, ALWAYS..., the Dutch collective has consistently garnered attention from fans and music press. Sifting through and discussing every album, they never stop trying to unravel the secret behind the musical experience the band wraps around the listener. Unlike any other band, The Gathering knows how to create a unique atmosphere: intense, colorful, relevant and groundbreaking. On their latest album they offer besides three songs released on the AFTERLIGHTS-EP in 2012, two fresh DISCLOSURE remakes. Beside these tracks, The Gathering also presents three brand new tracks as well! One of them is the title track ,,Afterwords", a song with stunning vocals of our friend and founding The Gathering member: Bart Smits. Last but not least, there is a cover song called ,,Areas". On AFTERWORDS the Dutch band has worked again with Noel Hofman who played great trumpet parts.
