"Sanctus" invites the listener to an eternal dance, rhythmically setting the mood and reminding them: Together we are strong. In the following atmospheric instrumentals, the duo alternates between lively humming ("Tenebrae," "Sylvanot") and contemplative humming ("Noctilis") - always enchanting. With "Mel Obscurum (Palestine Song)," TABERNIS dedicate themselves to one of the most famous fully preserved songs of the Middle Ages. Their interpretation of Walther von der Vogelweide's 13th-century composition lends Seasons of the Dark Hive a unique historical quality. "Hive Dance (Le maître de la maison)" shares a similar history, being based on a late medieval French dance. The melodies, primarily led by just two instruments, are enriched by Dark Monk's subtle presence on strings.
