Surf Curse is an indie rock project launched by Los Angeles-based songwriters NickRattigan and Jacob Rubeck. Their new record, Heaven Surrounds You, tells the story of growing up and revolves around some of the cult films of their youth, whose titles are also the names of their songs. On their third LP the songwriting and instrumental orchestration have matured and some Polish interludes have incorporated their rough sound. With veteran indie producer Jarvis Taveniere, Rattigan and Rubeck recorded their album in autumn 2018.
