2014, When Serbia is coming in your mind you normally don't think of Thrash Metal. However Space Eater are coming from Belgrade and since their foundation in 2004 they released two albums via I Hate (MERCIFUL ANGEL, 2007) and StormSpell (AFTERSHOCK, 2010). On their third album, PASSING THROUGH THE FIRE TO MOLECH the four members are playing classic Bay Area thrash, embossed with razor-sharp riffs, an impulsive, fast drumming and a heavy pumping bass, which causes memories to the newer releases of the New York legends Overkill. An original songwriting, a mix of high pitched and rough vocals, filigree lead parts, fitting solos and a very powerful, dynamic production is making this album a true manifesto. Gangshouts and short Growl-Parts are sometimes breaking up the classic American sound. A highlight for every Thrasher, that not only like simple song structures, but also technical capabilities.
