Soulhealer Chasing The Dream

2013, Soulhealer, a very talented melodic-metalband from Finland, are now releasing their second album, after one EP DREAMCATCHER 2010 and their debut-album THE KINGS OF BULLET ALLEY 2011. CHASING THE DREAM presents ten passionately played songs, unobtrusive and very catchy. The songs have a slight 80s flair, like the simple, driving groover ,,Done For Good", the excellently played ,,Chasing A Dream" (wonderful twin guitars) and ,,Into The Fire" or the straight, concise ,,Ties Of Time" and ,,Don't Look Back"; they offer good music for everyone who loves a balanced mixture of harmoniousness and heaviness. The rough but melodic voice of singer Jori Kärki suits perfectly into the overall picture and gives the band a very distinguishing note. Janne Tolsa (Note-On Studio) gave this album a powerful and modern, but also very lively sound; the coverartwork by Timo Wuerz pays much attention to detail. CHASING THE DREAM will give Soulhealer a place of honour in the melodicgenre.
