Description
"SEVENDUST return with their 15th studio album: ONE will be released on May 1, 2026, via Napalm Records. The Atlanta quintet presents ten simultaneously focused and powerful songs, driven by gigantic riffs, seismic grooves, and their signature catchy hooks. The album is once again produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who has also worked with bands like Alter Bridge, Falling In Reverse, and Mammoth.
The band, consisting of frontman Lajon Witherspoon, guitarists Clint Lowery and John Connolly, bassist Vince Hornsby, and drummer Morgan Rose, bursts onto the scene with "Is This The Real You?". The guitar work here impressively shifts between hard-hitting riffs and galloping passages, always accompanied by a pounding rhythm and thunderous drums." The riff builds with a simmering intensity, the vocals oscillate between powerful growls and a jazzy chorus - an instant earworm. The echo of a single note sets the tone for "Threshold," where Lajon strikes gentle notes only to contrast them with a distorted chorus. "Unbreakable" is a wake-up call and a future live classic, gliding from a piano melody into a massive hook that promises: "We were meant to be unbreakable...even when we're at our lowest lows. And if it gets too cold, I'll never let you go." The title track, "One," succinctly summarizes the album: emerging from a maelstrom of roaring distortion, Lajon's voice reaches heavenly heights.
For over 30 years, SEVENDUST have given countless fans the feeling of being part of something special. The community is anything but passive: The "7D Army" appreciates being a family to the band - sold-out shows worldwide and countless band logo tattoos prove it. Since 1994, SEVENDUST have built an unparalleled legacy, including nearly eight million albums sold, a Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance, three Top 15 entries on the Billboard 200, hundreds of millions of streams, and a loyal global fanbase. They have also shone as guests of diverse artists such as Deftones, Creed, Periphery, Xzibit, and Daughtry. SEVENDUST's continued energy is evident in "Everything," which became the band's biggest radio hit in 2024. ONE builds upon this success.
With ONE, SEVENDUST deliver a work that will captivate both longtime fans and newcomers alike. Or, as Maya Angelou once said: "People will forget what you say and will forget what you do, but they will never forget how you made them feel."
