Description

With their major debut on Roadrunner Records, Beneath The Remains, SEPULTURA presented a groundbreaking monument of metal in 1989, perfectly preparing the essence of a new dimension of metal with their powerful mix of cutting melodies and uncompromisingly beaten rhythms. Today Beneath The Remains is considered the thrash metal classic par excellence.

Rhino now salutes this unique album with a new edition, which presents a remastered version of the original and offers more than a dozen previously unreleased studio and live recordings.

The studio tracks of the CD version are flanked by previously unreleased recordings from the Zeppelin Hall, Kaufbeuren, on September 22, 1989, when SEPULTURA rocked the hall with songs from Beneath The Remains ("Primitive Future" and "Inner Self") and the previous albums ("Troops of Doom", "Escape To The Void") as well as a cover version of Black Sabbath's "Symptom Of The Universe" and "Holiday In Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys. The LP version contains the live track "Troops Of Doom" from the concert.
