2011, His latest effort, RUBY ELECTRIC, sees Sayce returning to a rawer and heavier sound with a collection of tracks that were recorded either live in the studio or on the road in Europe during his 2010 tour. This captures Sayce at his most stripped-down, working alongside producer David Cobb in Hollywood for the first half of the album, while the live portion was engineered under the supervision of industry veteran Eddie Kramer, known for his work with Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. If INNEREVOLUTION was his pop album, RUBY ELECTRIC could be considered a collection of rough demos, yet the underproduced sound of the record gives the songs an attitude and energy that only comes from live performances.
