SATAN undoubtedly belong to the torchbearers of the NWOBHM and released pioneering albums'Court In the Act' (1983) and four years later'Suspended Sentence', but their new album clearly shows that the band doesn't care about sunbathing in the light of past exploits. The ten flaming metal songs make it loudly and emphatically clear that the gentlemen from Newcastle upon Tyne are in full swing and have given their style a rawer, wilder, more spontaneous touch than on the mighty'Atom By Atom' in 2015. After their reunification in 2012, SATAN - consisting of guitarists Russ Tippins and Steve Ramsey, bassist Graeme English, drummer Sean Taylor and singer Brian Ross - toured regularly again, proving their exceptional status both with'Life Sentence' (2013) and the aforementioned successor'Atom By Atom'. Both albums received brilliant reviews and met the high standards set by the group's earlier material.
