The Canadians RAINLIGHT are more than just an insider tip. The band's second album now available on CD. Classic melodic rock with mostly crystal-clear guitars and rich keyboards as well as a singer (Carbo) who has a subtly rougher sound, which represents an exciting contrast to the music. But and this is the most important thing, there are melodies as far as the ear can see. A great disc! One of the numerous highlights is the fascinating "In A Stranger's Mind", which almost has features in the direction of classic QUEENSRYCHE. Great record! (MS)
