Description
PROST is an international project led by Antoine Prost, who has been passionately playing the guitar for over 40 years. His influences are diverse, ranging from hard rock to classical music by Bach and Vivaldi. Over time, he listened to bands like MSG, UFO, Night Ranger, and Whitesnake, and more recently, Revolution Saints, Degreed, and Brother Firetribe, while also drawing inspiration from Shrapnel Records guitar virtuosos such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, and George Bellas.
It wasn't until 2023 that the melodic rock band PROST was born. A pivotal meeting with Manos Fatsis, known for his work with City of Lights and Odyssey Desperado, marked a turning point. The chemistry between the two artists was immediate: Antoine composed the music, while Manos wrote the lyrics and vocal melodies. Greg Aubert, a longtime friend of Antoine's, joined the band on bass, and Mats Eriksson, drummer of Degreed, provided a solid and inspired rhythm section.
The result? A powerful and intense melodic rock album that blends sharp riffs, virtuoso solos, captivating harmonies, and haunting synths. Mixed and mastered by Mats Eriksson (Degreed), the album exudes a modern and haunting energy.
Tracks like "Lone Survivor," "Believe Again," "Summer Days," and "Road of Tomorrow" capture the essence of the '80s with their synth soundscapes. Other pieces, such as "Cold & Fire" and "Hearts & Dreams," delve into a more epic atmosphere.
