Motorpsycho The Crucible

The new Motorpsycho album "The Crucible" starts visually and musically where the last album "The Tower" ended, but soon takes on its own shading and it's clear that it can't be called a sequel: This is one step further than the band had dared with "The Tower". Although it's lyrically wider, it's musically more focused and, if at all imaginable, more peculiar and independent than ever before. Undoubtedly a motor-psycho album that will turn the head of new psychonauts, but will be a great companion for the trailer.

"The Crucible" was released in August 2018 at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales by Hans Magnus Ryan (Guitars, vocals), Bent Sæther (bass, vocals) and Tomas Järmyr (drums) as well as co-producer Andrew Scheps and Deathprod. In their ears and to the satisfaction of the band, this co-production trick has worked wonderfully well and has resulted in a beautifully crafted album that is shorter but at least as ambitious as its famous predecessor.

It is both more focused and denser in content, but also more ambitious in composition than "The Tower". You might think that this will inevitably lead to a reduced sound attack, but the album still has the punch that a good rock record should have
