More than four decades after its arrival, the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) continues to inspire new musicians. Their first wave, of course, helped create thrash and laid the foundation for the European and U.S. metal scenes that would take shape in the following decade. And while Iron Maiden and Saxon emerged as spearheads of the style, bands like Angel Witch, Blitzkrieg, Diamond Head and Tygers of Pan Tang also established themselves, now living on remotely through bands of another generation, including Vancouver's Maule.
