2012, Lyriel's new collection of songs entertains us with enjoyable Gothic Folk Rock sounds, a bit heavy on the ballad side. As usual, the wonderfully elegant compositions are competently enhanced by songstress Jessica Thierjung who hovers between lovely and longing with her voice. Her beautiful, sensual and very agreeable performance is the vocal frosting on the instrumental cake. But LEVEREGE also caters to the aficionados of the mediaeval genre, with Lyriel delivering timeless musical romance - and not only during those mediaeval, classical parts.
