At the time of this release, Loverboy were on the rise. Their previous two albums had scored massively commercially both in their native Canada and, perhaps more importantly, in the US. In fact, 'Get Lucky' sold more than seven million copies and spawned no less than four hit singles, followed by the now absolute classic 'Working For The Weekend' (both also available on Rock Candy). 'Keep It Up' continued the success with the hugely catchy single 'Hot Girls In Love' (which reached #11 on the Billboard singles chart), the optimistic 'Queen Of The Broken Hearts' and the very heavy 'Strike Zone'.
