Lovebites Outstanding Power

LOVEBITES charge ahead with full force on their Napalm Records debut, Outstanding Power: on May 8, 2026, the Japanese power metal quintet, along with a strong partner, will expand their reach to celebrate their tenth anniversary. Since their formation in 2016, LOVEBITES have catapulted themselves to the forefront of the metal scene in their homeland - as evidenced by their show at the legendary Budokan in Tokyo in March 2026. They have also made a name for themselves internationally, winning the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award and playing on the biggest stages across Europe, from Wacken Open Air and Hellfest to Graspop Metal Meeting, Download Festival, and Bloodstock Open Air.

Outstanding Power gallops ahead with the opening track, "The Castaway," featuring gripping riffs and plenty of pathos. The anthem, with its rousing vocals and guitar and bass solos, offers a glimpse of what's to come. The motivational "Silence The Void" captivates with catchy verses, while "Forbidden Thirst" weaves the inner conflicts in its lyrics into a heroic narrative through the music, once again crowned by impressive solos from guitarists Miyako and Midori. In "Blazing Halo," their twin guitars take on AC/DC-like structures, lending a classic touch to LOVEBITES' energetic approach. "Dream Of King" begins as a mid-tempo anthem, in whose stripped-down soundscape vocalist Asami shines, before the song swells into an emotional explosion - a clear highlight of the album! LOVEBITES then revisit classic genre imagery by dedicating "Phoenix Rises Again" to the powerful mythical creature, whose regenerative powers symbolize endurance and overcoming. "Out Of Control" is a true rock anthem, its heavy metal atmosphere a perfect match for the following track, "Wheels On Fire." An electrifying riff heightens the tension for "The Eve Of Change," in which LOVEBITES remind their fans to raise their voices and stand up for themselves - "this is the call!" With "Reaper's Lullaby," the Japanese quintet ventures into rougher waters, incorporating gang shouts into thrashy melodies. The crisp repetition of the lyrics reinforces their message, lending weight to the words and making the song another highlight that demonstrates LOVEBITES' versatility. In contrast, the power ballad "Eternally" features Asami's gentle voice caressing delicate keyboard sounds before her fiery vibrato and captivating instrumentals take over. Outstanding Power culminates in the emotional "One Will Remain."
