Description
Hamburg has always been a special place for international music. Bands like The Beatles, JimmyHendrix and Black Sabbath played their way to world fame on the stage of the Star Club, and the sea wind brought sounds from all over the world to the port city. An inspiring environment for a St. Paulian like Chris Harms, who launched Lord Of The Lost. With a dark, catchy mixture of rock, metal and electronics, hit on hit, hard and heavy, yet danceable. In 2009 the project became a band, and ten years later it's time to take a look back. "Till Death Us Do Part" is a compilation of the most popular Lord-Of-The-Lost-brash-hits and combines the work of ten years of band history, available on CD and double vinyl. The 2-CD version includes a CD with rarities and B-sides, including guest appearances by DerSchulz (Forzucht) and Erk Aicrag (Hocico). For the treasure hunters there is still the 4-CD Digibox version, strictly limited to 1,000 units, with a remix CD and a compilation of demo versions, some over 20 years old and long before the formation of the band written and recorded. "These recordings show unembellished and naked previous versions of well-known Lord Of The Lost songs, some of which I recorded as teenagers under the most adverse circumstances with the worst technique," comments Chris Harms. "I've thought long and hard about revealing this, but in the end I decided to do it because I would extremely appreciate and respect an insight of this kind as a fan of bands I love".
