Kings Of The Valley emerge from Norway's fjords to make retroprog big again. It seems that another export banger is growing here, with its feet firmly planted in past decades and its head in the here and now. The dreamy vocals of Christopher Roseth Sand bring their own touch to the 70s band sound. Musically they move between psychedelic and progressive rock, relaxed, leaning back and skilfully, as the Scandinavian bands can do. With their debut album, Kings Of The Valley should inspire admirers of the old prog school as well as fans of Hellacopters or Gluecifer.
