This 11th studio album, scheduled for release in 2022, is the next chapter in IMMOLATION's death metal epic. 5 long years have passed since the last studio album ATONEMENT, ACTS OF GOD energetically demonstrates IMMOLATION's ability to consistently create intriguing sounds while still being firmly rooted in the old school, New York death metal they are known for.
Fittingly, the closing track "Apostle" was the last song written for the album "Some of these choruses have a strange, almost dreamlike quality to them," Dolan describes. Its ever-growing momentum unloads rounds of guitar solos and relentless vocals that eventually lead to an explosive finale for the album.
The interesting thing about Immolation, for an old-school death metal band, is that they converted their fans and/or gained new young fans with their latest album.
