Herzel Le Dernier Rempart

On their first album the Bretons refer to bands like Manilla Road, Warlord, Queensryche, Heir Apparent, Omen or last but not least Virgin Steele.

The concept album "Le Dernier Rempart" is divided into two parts. The first two songs tell generally about the history of Brittany, while the second part is based on a story around a protagonist namedHerzel. In Breton, "Herzel" means to be resistant and brave. The band sings the six metal epics in Breton, because after the Second World War there was a revival of the Breton language and culture due to the liberal forces. A circumstance that is thematically taken up by Herzel in their progressive metal songs again and again. The album is released by Cruz Del Sur.
