Description

What's going on that Fury in the Slaughterhouse are throwing themselves back into the fray in 2020 of all years? Of course, they haven't been able to sit still since their official breakup in 2008 and have reunited for impressive concerts, but still: Why an album now and not before?

Because a band that has experienced pretty much everything that can be packed into 30 years of band history can't simply call it quits. In the end, it's probably like true love, which no one can yet say for sure exists. Nevertheless: You can't help it, you have to, and you want to. And when, as in this case, 13 years lie between "NOW" and the last Fury album, you can only imagine the floodgates that have now been opened.

One point shouldn't be forgotten, though: Fury in the Slaughterhouse might not even exist in 2021 if it weren't for their fans, who have continued to flock to their concerts in droves over the past few years. Fans for whom this music is the soundtrack of a specific era. And that's precisely what Fury is and always will be: the logical consequence and the result of a time.

That's why now, and that's why "NOW"--an album that both wants to be and must be!

On "NOW," Fury in the Slaughterhouse sound fresher and more powerful than ever. A key contributor to this is producer Vincent Sorg, who has already been responsible for successful albums by the Donots, In Extremo, the Broilers, and Die Toten Hosen. He was behind the mixing board for "NOW" and produced the album together with the band.

The new album "NOW" is the band's first in more than 13 years with almost the original lineup.

Fury in the Slaughterhouse was founded in 1986 in Hanover and was one of the most successful bands in Germany during the 1990s, achieving international success. The Hanover-based band achieved several Top 10 chart positions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (GSA), climbed to number 15 on the US Billboard album charts, and have played well over 1,500 concerts since their formation. Since their 2017 reunion concerts celebrating their 30th anniversary, they have also been among the most successful live acts in the country. With more than 4 million records sold, they are one of the most influential bands in their genre.

In that spirit: the time is NOW.
