Epitaph Long Ago Tomorrow

2019 will be a big anniversary year for Epitaph - in the winter of 1969/70 the history of the Krautrock legend begins in the Dortmund music club "Fantasio", in whose basement the Brit Cliff Jackson (vocals, guitar), his compatriot James McGillivray (drums) and bassist Bernd Kolbe rehearsed. In 1971 guitarist Klaus Walz joined the band. In 2018 all three founding members stood together with guitarist Heinz Glass (from 1977 for the first time with Epitaph) in the studio to produce their new longplayer "Long Ago Tomorrow". "Long AgoTomorrow" is again an enchanting epitaph wonder bag. With great rock songs and soulful ballads, singing twin guitars, polyphonic choral singing and surprising elements like the world-famous Indonesian student choir Paramabira, this album not only unites all the elements you might expect from a new Epitaph album. As on their last albums and numerous live concerts, Epitaph with Tim Reese (truckstop) on violin, Klaus Henatsch (nectar) on keyboards and Agnes Hapsari on grand piano have mobilized their friends and companions, who give this album a new special touch. With Carsten Steinkämpfer, Epitaphz also has a new drummer on board to fill in for the great JimMcGillivray.
