2010, Control Denied was a side project of Death's Chuck Schuldiner. Overall, the result was better than anyone could expect - Control Denied developed all the progressive ideas witnessed in Death and mixed them with classic metal structures, which gave a unique combination of technique and melody. Recorded with various members of Death (including drummer Richard Christy, currently heard on the Howard Stern Show), Control Denied's only album is considered by many to be the high point of Schuldiner's career. Unfortunately Schuldiner passed away in 2001 due to brain cancer.
