2015, For over a decade, Coheed And Cambria have channeled their artistic drive not only into their music but into their ongoing science fiction story ´The Amory Wars`, paired with the progressive rock band's first seven studio albums. Stepping away from their conceptual storyline, the group decided to take an altered direction for their latest album, THE COLOR BEFORE THE SUN. The latest album, recorded in Nashville and produced by Jay Joyce, deeply explores the personal thoughts and perspectives of front man Claudio Sanchez. Sanchez has several times stated he is envious of his father's era of music, and that the band is influenced by groups of that era, such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Police, Misfits, Queen and Thin Lizzy. Apart from these roots, Sanchez also acknowledges an eclectic array of influences, including post-hardcore group At The Drive-In, and heavy metal pioneers Iron Maiden. Since the band's 2002 debut, they've unraveled stories within the fictional universe of Armory Wars - until now!!!
