Billy Talent have completed the recording of their upcoming album CRISIS OF FAITH and have announced a release date of January 21, 2022. The CD features 10 tracks and was produced entirely by Ian D'Sa, guitarist and main songwriter of the band.
The recording took place at the band's own studio in Toronto and was mixed by the legendary Chris Lord-Alge. The new album will be released digitally, on CD and as a vinyl LP, as well as in a special limited edition deluxe vinyl version. A multi-channel Dolby Atmos mix of the album will also be available digitally. Billy Talent are one of the most successful Canadian bands. They have sold a total of nearly 3 million albums internationally, including over 1.3 million in Germany alone , where the band has its most loyal fan base besides Canada. They won 2 ECHOs in this country ("Newcomer International", "GroupRock/Metal/Alternative International") and 7 Juno Awards in Canada (out of 23 nominations, including three times for the last album "Afraid of Heights" - "Group of the Year", "Rock Album of the Year" and Ian D'Sa as "Producer of the Year"). In addition, to date they have been nominated no less than 32 times at the Canadian Much Music Video Awards - 10 times with victorious outcome. In 2018, the band was awarded the "Legends of Live Special Achievement Award" by Canadian Music Week. Most recently, Billy Talent launched the Billy Talent Charity Trust to increase support for organizations whose activities they believe in. In this country the band has three #1 albums and one #2 album in the charts!
