Now the band can announce details of their first acoustic album, "MTVUnplugged: Live At Roundhouse London", which will be released on May 25th.
Recorded on 8 November last year at the famous London Venue Roundhouse, the set also marked the UK relaunch of the legendary MTV Unplugged series. Biffy Clyro follow in the footsteps of formative rock bands that had previously performed as part of the series, just think of Nirvana, Oasis, Pearl Jam, R.E.M. and George Michael. The set contains all favourite songs from the Biffy catalogue. "Machines", where Simon Neil only sings accompanied by an acoustic guitar, has long been established as a highlight at the band's concerts, and songs like " Many of Horror", "Re-arrange" and "Medicine" are also made for an unplugged performance. In addition, the band shines with reduced Versions of songs that were more aggressive and dramatic in their original form, including "The Captain", "Black Chandelier" and "Bubbles".
