Babylon A.D., hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, caught the attention of Arista Records president and music industry mogul Clive Davis in 1989. He signed them after a live showcase in Los Angeles.
Babylon A.D.'s debut album was released in 1989 and achieved Gold status, spent 38 weeks on the Billboard Top 200, and included three #1 Metal Radio songs: "Bang Go the Bells," "Hammer Swings Down," and "The Kid Goes Wild."
Their sophomore effort, Nothing Sacred, was released in 1992. It produced two singles: "Bad Blood" and "So Savage The Heart." The band toured throughout the early 1990s and had several videos on MTV.
Thirty-six years and nine albums later, the band shows no signs of slowing down. Recently, the title track, the first single and video from When The World Stops, was released. They're also touring Europe this fall. The new album drops September 1, 2025, via Kivel Records.
