Vandenberg is a band with an illustrious past. Led by master guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, the Dutch quartet released three quality albums in the early to mid 80s. The self-titled debut was released in 1982, "Heading For The Storm" came out in 1983 and "Alibi" two years later. In addition to commercial success, the band gained worldwide renown. The band toured in America, Japan and Europe and played with Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Rush, Scorpions, Michael Schenker and many others. The new album, entitled "2020", was recorded by Bob Marlette, one of the top producers in Hard Rock. Marlette has already worked with Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. What Vandenberg offer on "2020" are melody, power and class! Packaged in ten songs that have the balance between musical depth and commercial impact for fans of sophisticated hard rock. This formula made Vandenberg popular in the 80s and "2020" is forged from the same iron as its predecessors. "I'm absolutely sure that with our brand new album we'll meet the high expectations that rock fans around the world might have," says Romero happily. "I can't wait to perform live with this band! I think the atmosphere within this energetic line-up is just wonderful," Vandenberg concludes. "We are not an act of nostalgia and try to recreate what happened all those years ago. This is also a dynamic new band with a name that has a legacy. And indeed, I am more than happy with the result. Now I can't wait to go on tour and show the world how this band does the material live!"
