Vandallus On The High Side

2016, Vandallus is an experienced group of musicians spawned out of a genuine passion for ´80s rock and metal. Mastered by Grammy winner Arnie Acosta (The Who, Frank Zappa, U2, Peter Frampton, Giant), ON THE HIGH SIDE takes you back to the late ´70s and early ´80s in terms of songwriting and overall feel. With Shaun Vanek (guitar, drums, bass) and Steve Dukuslow (drums) Vandallus from Cleveland in Ohio do indeed feature two thirds of the mighty Midnight in their line-up. The three-piece is completed by Jason Vanek (vocals, guitar). Although the band is Jason's baby, Midnight boss Jamie Walters also wrote a few songs for Vandallus. The sound of ON THE HIGH SIDE is very direct and sort of old school and according to Jason that's exactly how it was originally planned. Fitting in nicely, the cover art of the latest album is also very no-nonsense, simple and archaic in a way, not unlike High Spirits are handling their artwork.
