"Revelations - Life Or Death (Demos & Rarities)" is the first episode of a compilation series that deals with one of the most important bands of the entire Doom Metal/Stoner Rock genre: Trouble off
Chicago.
The album contains eleven rare demo recordings from 1980 to 1983.
like "The Tempter" (1982 demo), "The Last Judgement" (1983 demo) or "The Fall Of Lucifer".
(demo 1981) can be officially heard for the first time ever in their original versions. "Psalm 9" and "Victims Of The Insane" were recorded live by an American cable network in 1982.
The actual basis of "Revelations - Life Or Death (Demos & Rarities Part 1)" is an old bootleg CD from White Stallion Records.
Trouble guitarist Rick Wartell laughs: "We just stole this bootlegger's CD." His guitar colleague, Bruce Franklin, adds: "We got in touch with the guy and just said:'If we catch you, you're dead!'! He just said,'Sorry, sorry...' And then he took all of us
copies he still had. We made it very clear to him how angry we were. The whole world does business with us, only we ourselves earn nothing. So we decided to bootlegg ourselves." Rick Wartell adds: "And a little later we heard that this guy was now bootlegging another band."
