The trio Esben Ant The Witch releases their fifth studio album "Nowhere". With haunting, calm passages, a vehemence that expresses itself in punk influenced, distorted riffs and the the seductive voice of singer Rachel Davies, are the extreme limits of beauty, noise and Macht has never been so well staged before.
"The Unspoiled" is one of only six songs on "Nowhere". But as Rachel Davies, Daniel Copeman and Thomas Fisher immediately prove, they are constructed epically as usual: After a booming intro Davies' lyrics and the dark marching arrangement of "The Unspoiled" swing more and more upwards. The coda almost stands still - and with the greatest tension.
The album's predecessor "Older Terrors" from 2016 already consisted of four pieces of excess length. Since then Esben And The Witch had released the live album "Live At Roadburn" on their own and posted between black-and-white photos and old paintings that new material was ready.
