Flung straight from hell up to charming British Suffolk thirty disturbing years ago, CRADLE OF FILTH are an undisputed giant in the heavy metal scene.
The band, under the reign of Dani Filth, has survived three decades of challenges and has earned a special reputation not only as a creative force in extreme metal, but also as one of the most active live bands on the scene.
When the concert activity came to a sudden halt due to the pandemic, CRADLE OF FILTH were recently in the studio to record their 13th studio album under lockdown conditions - and the inevitable isolation with its stifling atmosphere seemed the best condition for the creation of "Existence Is Futile", a manifesto of existentialism.
Thus, the album is easily one of the most powerful and dramatic discs in CRADLE OF FILTH's history. The band's fast-paced live energy also bubbled over in the studio, driving each member to new heights. Combined with the labyrinthine arrangements and thrilling bombast, "Existence Is Futile" is the band's liveliest studio album to date.
Hardcore fans will be pleased to hear that horror icon Doug 'Pinhead' Bradley is once again featured on the album and his spoken word passages fuel not only the epic 'Suffer Our Dominium' but also a bonus track.
