Description
Between enchanting tenderness and brutality, between the fires of the underworld and the coldest vapors of the north, this is the being called WINTER HORDE. Formed in 2002 in Northern Israel, the progressive extreme metal group has evolved and tried to become something bigger with every chord they play and record. Only the sky is the limit. From the ancient arts of blackened metal to the gems of progression, WINTERHORDE are on their way to being the next thing in articulate extremity.
WINTERHORDE had the great pleasure and privilege to perform with some of the biggest bands in metal such as JUDAS PRIEST, BEHEMOTH, ACCEPT, W. A. S. P, DIMMU BORGIR, KEEP OF KALESSIN, AMORPHIS, SATYRICON and many more on the stages of various European festivals such as "Metal Days ", "Rockstadt Extreme Fest", "OST Mountain Fest", "Metalhead Meeting", "Maximum Rock" and "Metal yard".
WINTERHORDE paved their way into the progressive mannerism of extreme metal and released their debut "Nebula" (2006, Burning Star Records), which was followed by a full European tour with Finnish black metalers CATAMENIA. The second album "Underwatermoon" (2010, Twilight distribution) was recorded and produced by V. Santura (DARK FORTRESS, OBSCURA, PARADOX, TRYPTIKON). At the beginning of 2016, WINTERHORDE completed one of their adventurous and highly mysterious epics, "Maestro" (Vicisolum Productions) which was once again produced by V. Santura and mastered by Jens Bogren. Critics and fans welcomed the third studio album "Maestro", released in May 2016.
Six years later, and WINTERHORDE are ready for the next challenge again. Full of energy and a new, overwhelming line-up, WINTERHORDE have completed work on their new, fourth studio album "Neptunian".
The single "The Greatest Plague of Earth" was released in June 2022.

"This song deals with the unbreakable spirit of simple people, who are ready to die for keeping their land free. We wanted to show this spirit, not only in the warrior himself but also in his family members who are filled with pride of their fallen loved one. The simple people are those who sacrifice their lives for unnecessary wars waged by rich people's games. They die, but never give up their freedom and identity. The conflict of life versus freedom at any cost".
