Winter goes metal! On their 4th album, the trio (Markus Winter - vocals, bass, guitars / Michael Donner - keyboards / Hugo Ribeiro - drums) unleashes a metal firework display of the highest quality, no more hints of Gothic & New Wave.
Between classic German power metal (early Running Wild, Rage and Helloween say hello), Megadeth and modern bands like Beast In Black or Dampf, of course with the unmistakable vocals of band leader Markus Winter. Illustrious guest singers such as Ralf Scheepers (Gamma Ray, Primal Fear), Iggy Rodriguez (Damnation Angels) or Siegfried Schüssler (Messenger) can also be heard for the metal touch. A hint of dark rock (Sings of Danger) or prog rock (Delusions in G Minor) shines through sometimes, but mainly the wrecking ball reigns. It's a real blast with catchy power metal with big choruses and pounding double bass attacks. With "Stand Up For Metal" you have an official stadium anthem that Judas Priest couldn't have forged better in their heyday. The sound blares out of the speakers crystal clear and fat.
"Keeping The Flame Alive" is definitely an impressive metal album that deserves a larger audience.
