In 1987, just a year after their groundbreaking debut album Bloody Vengeance, Brazilian extreme metal pioneers Vulcano returned with Anthropophagy, an altogether more mature but equally angry LP that capitalized on the group's increased live activity. And just like with the first record, High Roller Records has given the album a deluxe re-release. Unlike previous re-releases of Anthropophagy, this album has been expertly restored and remastered by studio veteran Patrick W. Engel. With its perfect blend of razor-sharp tightness and unpredictable riff madness, Anthropophagy is a treat to be (re)experienced, especially in its final 2024 incarnation.
