TRANCE, the legendary band from Germany is back with their new album "Metal Forces". The band was founded in 1974 by singer Lothar Antoni and guitarist Markus Berger as TRIBUT and renamed TRANCE in 1979. They are one of the oldest heavy metal bands from Germany and together with the SCORPIONS and ACCEPT they invented heavy metal in Germany. Their first two albums "Break Out" (1982) and "Power Infusion" (1983) meant the breakthrough in Germany and Benelux. Due to various management and business problems they then had to change their name to TRANCEMISSION for a short time. In 1992 they returned to the old name TRANCE and released the album "Rockers" which got good reviews everywhere. In 1998 the band broke up again.
Over the years after the breakup guitarist Markus Berger visited some shows of so-called cover bands. When a few TRANCE songs were played at one of these cover shows, he was totally surprised by the reaction of the audience. The songs were enthusiastically celebrated. This led him to refloat the band ship in 2011 together with his old band mates Jürgen Baum and Thomas Klein and they played the one or other show.
After another five years it was time to go into the studio for a new album. "The Loser Strikes Back" was released in 2017, following their biggest hit "Loser" from 1982.
After a few line-up changes, TRANCE now has a stable line-up with Dutch powerhouse vocalist Nick Holleman (ex-VICIOUS RUMORS), Dutch guitarist Joris van Rooij and the drummer known around the world as Neudi (MANILLA ROAD), a legend in underground fan circles.
