July 2022 marked the 50th anniversary of the release of T. Rex's most famous album. Produced by Tony Visconti, 'The Slider' remains the definitive soundtrack to 'Bolanmania' including the two number one singles 'Telegram Sam' and 'Metal Guru'. The album is considered the epitome of flamboyant glam rock. In the now released 2CD set, CD1 contains the original album accompanied by three non-album B-sides. CD2 contains 'The Alternate Slider: Rabbit Fighter', a bonus CD of intriguing 'work-in-progress' versions and demos that (as far as possible) mirror the order of the original album. The CDs are presented in brand new 7-inch deluxe gatefold packaging and come including an 8-page booklet with liner notes lyrics by Bolan biographer Mark Paytress.
