"GUY" tells the story of a close friendship with its ups and downs that lasted more than four decades. The album is dedicated to Steve Earle's friend and mentor Guy Clark, who died of cancer in 2016. A single-disciplined artist, as Earle recalls, who wrote songs to the end. He also painted, built instruments and owned a guitar shop. Recorded live in just six days last fall at the House of BluesStudio in Nashville, the 16 tracks are reinterpretations of Guy Clark originals. SteveEarle and backing band The Dukes are in top form.
