Much like its predecessor, BLOOD OF THE SNAKE, it sees the skilled keyboardist opting for a predominantly guitar-based album, enlisting the services of guitar heroes that include the ever-present Zakk Wylde, the terribly underrated Brett Garsed, and Rusty Cooley among others. The opening three tracks are conceived as one piece with the middle track more or less a keyboard solo linking the other two movements of the suite. Guitarist Brett Garsed and drummer/cocomposer Virgil Donati ensure a great degree of similarity to many tracks from the first Derek Sherinian album and the last Planet X album QUANTUM in which more or less the same line-up was assembled.
