2011, Scar Of The Sun is a new metal band from Athens, Greece. Their debut A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE CONCURRENCIES is filled with powerful and massive modern atmospheric metal, influenced by bands like Paradise Lost, Dark Tranquility, Opeth and In Flames. The sound is a mix of progressive death metal and modern melodic metal where the outcome is quite impressive at times, this is a very melodic album with more clean vocals than growl and with a wall of bombastic keyboards and razorsharp guitar riffs. Songs that stand out are ,,Disposable", ,,Gravity", ,,A Pause In The Disaster" and ,,Swansong Of Senses".
