2004, Debut album from 2003. Everything started at the end of 2001 when Paatos were in the studio working on their first longplayer "Timeloss" and suddenly getting the rush job to write the music for the silent movie classic "Nosferatu", for use at a film festival in Umeå. The band brilliantly masters this job and delivers the strongly improvised and live performed music for the 2,5 hours long movie in less than two months. "Who knows, maybe we will release it in some future time", Johan says today. After this - in the literal sense of the word - creative break, the five musicians continue to work in the studio and gain attention with "Timeloss", a furiously jazz rocking debut with extended improvisations. Stefan: "This album musically still was a kind of hybrid between Landberk and Ägg, which was suddenly released by Universal. In comparison to that album, 'Kallocain' is a perfectly made work. We carefully worked on the songs, they come out of the depths of our souls."
