Formed in 1987 in Umeå, Sweden, the band Meshuggah has been described by Rolling Stone as "one of the most important hard and heavy bands" and enjoys the respect and admiration of fans and musicians alike. It's impossible to talk about experimental or avant-garde metal without mentioning this truly groundbreaking band
mention: MESHUGGAH mix ultra-complicated rhythmic patterns with powerful riffs and aggressive growls and combine death metal, mathcore, thrash and progressive metal to create their unique style. The year 2023 now marks the 25th anniversary of one of the band's first milestones: "Chaosphere".
Originally released on November 9, 1998, Meshuggah's third studio album finds the band toning down some of the thrashier sounds of previous releases in favor of the more technical, polyrhythmic and groove-oriented sound that they would explore on subsequent albums. The album contains, among others, the songs "New Millennium Cyanide Christ", "Corridor of Chameleons" and "Neurotica", which are among the band's most streamed tracks.
