Third album of the German formation, which adjusts its sound here more in the direction of post and indie rock. 'Wish To Leave', which comes with artwork by Denis Forkas Kostromitin, was recorded from July to November 2020 in Leipzig under the watchful eye of engineer/producer Max Herrmann. V. Santura of Dark Fortress and Triptykon handled the mastering.
The album's six songs are woven with melody and darkness, with stripped-down guitars and a stronger emphasis on vocals and the rhythmic aspects of Lunar Shadow, completed by vocalist Robert Röttig, second guitarist K. Hamacher, bassist S. Hamacher and drummer J. Zehner. It is an album that intrigues and puzzles, while several acoustic trademarks of Lunar Shadow remain. "Wish To Leave" represents a new sound that also comes from artistic restlessnessand ceaseless creativity of guitarist and songwriter Max Birbaum.
